Hello, I'm attempting to apply a distressed texture to a vector, but I'm having zero luck. Both are in vector format, but I can't seem to subtract it from a group, I've tried masking and setting it to erase from the layer below it, but it still appears in .eps print files. I'm unsure what to do and hoping you all can point me in the right direction, thanks.

Thanks, Darren! Please feel free to delete my (slightly wonky!) previous post. :)

Hi Axios,

Is the attached video clip the affect that you wish to achive

Vector mask.wmv

That's correct, but I'm not looking to simply mask to a layer below it as that would compromise the overall look of the design. I realize I could likely layer each of these and mask them, but I'm unsure if that would be of any help; as per stated above, it seems layer styles re-appear when opening the vector files elsewhere.

Ungroup the group, do a Boolean ‘add’ so that you have a Curves object instead, and then ‘subtract’ from that.
