I am trying to correct a photo where the persons face has a patch of sunshine on it and blond hair which is side/backlit by he sun. There is no detail in the overexposed areas. I cannot find an official or non official tutorial on the subject. Can anyone offer any advice on how to make the photo look acceptable. Thanks

Usually, for white reflects on the nose or the forehead, I tint it with pale pink or pale orange… but if half of the face is missing, that's not  repairable.
