Griff
Hi, I'm trying to create a macro for some batch processing and one part of the macro is to use a plugin filter (Nik Collection) whilst I am able to record things such as levels, unsharp mask etc it always fails to record the plugin activity? CS5 has no issues with recording plugins. Am I doing something wrong or is Affinity not capable of this? Cheers Griff
Staff MEB Posted June 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted June 8, 2018 Hi Griff, Welcome to Affinity Forums No, Affinity Photo can't use/record external plugins as part of a macro. Note: thread moved to the Questions section. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Griff
OK, Is this something that could be considered in a future release? Cheers
Staff MEB Posted June 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted June 8, 2018 Hi Griff, I think it's unlikely. Affinity Photo currently only support basic image filters. Anything relying on automation/deeper integration with Photoshop is not supported by Affinity Photo. When you launch a plugin from a macro what settings should be used by the plugin/how to control them? In any case only one of the developers should be able to give you a definite answer. Griff
Hi, I would hope it is possible as it would make batch processing so much better for me. I currently am able to do this in CS5 but want to move away from CS5 totally and this is the only feature stopping me. All I require the macro/action to do is open the plugin (Nik Collection) and save/close/apply the current/last pre-set. I do not require the action/macro to actually do anything within the plugin. Should I post this request here? https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10373-actions-in-photo/ Cheers Griff
