ms.fuentecilla
I'm not sure that this is actually a bug but the processing of panoramas from RAW frames containing a sunburst has a very weird result, so I report it anyway
Staff MEB Posted February 16, 2018 Staff Share Posted February 16, 2018 Hi ms.fuentecilla, It definitely doesn't look right. Can you please upload the RAW files used in that panorama so we can take a look? Here's a link you can use. Thanks. ms.fuentecilla
The originals won't upload, perhaps too big at 48Mb. 'Something went wrong. Please try again'. Tried twice and it stopped at 3%. It could be my Spain ISP whingeing. I could try from Holland in 2 weeks. The same panorama result happened with the release version so I shall try processing each frame first to control contrast and see what happens then. Usually this is fully controllable for RAW single frames in AP. Perhap Nostradamus is sending a message!
ms.fuentecilla
It proved possible to get an acceptable result using TIFF exports. Unfortunately AP wouldn't accept HDR exports for panoramas giving the message 'No panorama found'. TIFF doesn't have quite the same flexibility in development. This was from the outset experimental. As soon as I can I shall upload the originals. I hadn't realised there was a size limit for Dropbox.
ms.fuentecilla
An excellent result was obtained from EXR reduced contrast exports. I wonder if this might be some problem with Sony's ARW?
ms.fuentecilla
Further experiment suggests this is most likely to occur when AP decides to process the frames upside down.
ms.fuentecilla
I have now successfully uploaded the 2 files requested by MEB on Feb 16th to Dropbox. Makes a difference having proper internet!
