FredFleming Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 If I create effects in the app (Snapseed) and import that photo into Affinity all of the effects are gone from Snapseed. Is this a setting issue or a bug??
Staff Lee D Posted February 5, 2018 Staff Posted February 5, 2018 After applying effects in SnapSeed, under Export are you choosing Save, Save a copy or Export as the effects you've added will then be permanently applied.
FredFleming Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 Lee, I use save and save as a copy in Snapseed.
FredFleming Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 If I apply HDR effects or Vintage effects in Snapseed they don’t show up when imported into Affinity.
Staff MEB Posted February 5, 2018 Staff Posted February 5, 2018 Hi FredFleming, These options Save and Save a copy both save the original image + the edits separately - that's why you can revert back to the original photo in Apple Photos. Currently Affinity Photo is only able to access the original image without the edits. So you have to use the Export option in Snapped to bake the effects permanently to the image which you can then open in Affinity Photo for further editing. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
FredFleming Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 Very good I will certainly switch to Export. Your help is greatly appreciated. Have a great day.
