DM1
I have been making a brush based on an eyelash. What I am unable to understand is how the rotation setting is applied. I have tried variations between 0% and 50% with the setting screen showing the the curve of the eyelash being 'rotaed' as expected. However after applying the setting and going back to photo persona and selecting the brush, the lash is applied with original rotation setting, not the new (expected) setting. What am I doing wrong? Staff stokerg Posted January 29, 2018 Staff Share Posted January 29, 2018 Hi DM1, Is this in the Beta or the release version? I just tried it in the release and Beta, each time the rotation setting was applied. Could you export the brush and attach it here?
DM1
It is the beta. I have a screen recording showing effect too. Staff stokerg Posted January 30, 2018 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2018 Hi DM1, Thanks for the brushes Can you just try something for me. Instead of tapping and holding on the brush to get the menu with the Edit option to appear, 1st tap on the brush you want to edit so it's the active brush and then tap on 'More' on the brush tool bar and set the rotation here and then paint with the brush. Does that now work for you? From my tests, if you use the Edit from the fly pop out menu once you've set the rotation and are back to your canvas, you'll need to reselect the brush you just edited for the new rotation to take effect. This would also explain why i couldn't replicate the error in my 1st reply, as i was using the 'More' method of setting the rotation
DM1
Thanks Stokerg, that works for me Strange that you need to reselect through edit menu but the More method is quicker and easier. stokerg 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
