Colour picker not showing CMYK values

Recommended Posts

I have an image that I’m looking at, and I have the colour section open so I can see the CMYK values. When I click on the colour picker then choose different colours, the circle at the top changes colour, but the CMYK values don’t change. I want to know the CMYK values but. They never change? Does anyone know why?

As I understand it (but I'm new to Affinity Photo) if you're looking at the color picker in the color panel you would click on it, and drag it to the point in your document that you want to sample. Merely clicking on that color picker doesn't sample anything; you need to drag it into the image.

On the other hand, if you were to use the color picker tool (from the tool bar)  you would select the tool, then click in the image where you want to sample.

Edit: And, I see that I've just described how it works on the desktop, not on iPad. Sorry; this may be all wrong for iPad.
