antsyl Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Stupid question I know but, how the heck do you buy it? I keep getting error when I go to the Apple App store. So is there a way to use oh I don't know.... a credit card? thanks Quote
R C-R Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 What kind of error do you get? Does your Mac meet the minimum system requirements, for example an Intel 64-bit Core 2 Duo or better CPU (from 2007), running OS X 10.7.5 or later? Staff MEB Posted December 26, 2017 Staff Posted December 26, 2017 Hi antsyl, Welcome to Affinity Forums It would be helpful if you specify which error you are getting. From your post seems you are having trouble buying the application. Assuming you already have an Apple ID, go to menu Store ▸ View My Account. On the top in Apple ID Summary section there's a Payment information area. Click the blue Edit link in front of it. You will be redirected to a screen where you can set up your payment info/details. Alternatively you can also buy an iTunes Gift Card on physycal stores (or online) which you can use to transfer credits to your account. See this page for details on how to use/redeem them. Let me know if i haven't addressed you issue correctly. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
antsyl Posted December 26, 2017 Author Posted December 26, 2017 MEB Thanks for the response. When I go to the Affinity site I click on buy for mac. That takes me to the Apple sign in box where I put my user name,(email) and password. I put that in and get a box that says Verification is required so I click on Billing info required... then I get a page that says "your request produced an error. [newNullResponse]. Thats it, no place else to go. Now I have been having a problem with my iPhone 6s and basically the new update from Apple rendered my phone useless. Ive been on Apple Care for about 4 days trying to get a work around but nothing so far. Maybe thats the problem. thanks antsy Quote
R C-R Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding, you are using your Mac when you try to sign into the Mac App Store & not your iPhone, right? antsyl Posted December 26, 2017 Author Posted December 26, 2017 RCR see the response above. Yes Im on a MacBook Pro with 10.11.6 system and 2.8 dual core. I believe it is something to do with that problem with the iPhone and the App store login. Quote

Staff MEB Posted December 26, 2017 Staff Posted December 26, 2017 Hi antsyl, I believe the first sign-in box is requesting your Apple ID and the second is for you to complete/confirm your billing/payment details. This usually happens when payment fails for some reason. Have you bought anything previously from the Mac App Store or this is the first time buying something there? In any case there may be some issue with your Apple ID or payment info. I suggest you contact Apple Support directly. Whatever the case this doesn't seem directly related with Affinity apps, and probably require their intervention. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
