AP(also on iPad) - Smudge/PaintMixer from layer(s) below

How do I make the smudge tool and the paint mixer brush sample from the layers below also?

Currently these tools only work/sample from the current/selected layer. I'm moving this thread to the Feature Requests section

We use it for painting/artist work in most other applications that are able to work with layers - is it ever going to be implemented, or is Affinity just a dead end for that type of work?
