Triton Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Hi there amazing software!!!!! But am going through the interactive tutorials and they don’t show where to find what’s being taught in the drop down menu. This would be incredibly useful and speed up the learning process. Currently it shows off the various things you can do but without indicating how you got there via the drop down menu, which would seem to be key no? or am I missing something obvious ? best T Quote
Alfred Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Triton. Affinity Photo for iPad has only two dropdown menus (the Document menu with an ellipsis on a document icon, and the Commands menu with an icon consisting of an ellipsis on its own) so there aren’t many places to look! Having said that, there may well be cases where there’s room for improvement, but that’s obviously only going to happen if we tell Serif about them. Which particular tutorials have you been trying to follow? Triton Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 Hi alfred for example video number 2 in the interactive tutorials shows that you are able to adjust lighting with an up and down drag etc but it would have been useful in the video if it also pointed to which icon in the drop down menu opens up this lighting option. Alfred Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Filters aren't accessed via the dropdown menus. You need to go the icons on the right-hand side, where you'll find a funnel icon (above the 'fx' icon) which toggles the visibility of the Filters Studio. Swipe up until you get to 'Lighting': since it's in the middle alphabetically, it's quite a long way down the list. DM1 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 You need to look very closely at the videosto see which 'icon' has been selected. On closer inspection you can generally see a purple band around the selected icon. Once you get used to the Personas, you will get a feel for where/which icon has been selected, making it easier to spot on the videos. Triton Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 Thanks guys. Just realised I was being a bit slow. Of course you can see which action has been highlighted if you look closely in the video. Wow this software is amazing. Crashes a bit but hopefully more stability fixes on way. Quote
