Can't open file error "because its open in another app" - well I know that

Yes I have a TIFF image being used in a video compositing app ( Fusion9). I KNOW THAT !!!! NO REALLY I DO !!!!  Just open the file !!!!! I want to make a change, save it. The other app will not blow up, or crash. In fact it will detect the change and self update. Photoshop does NOT have this problem. I should not have to quit the other app to make a minor change in the image, save, then. relaunch the other app. total workflow breaker. ignore file is already open, JUST EDIT THE FILE LIKE I WANT AND AS PS DOES !!!!! I'm not an idiot, I know what I'm doing, stop getting in the way of letting me do what I want. 

 

please, take the training wheels OFF !

public beta may fix this... I was able to edit image open in Fusion w/o problem, thnx !
