Tools Revert to Factory Settings…

Recommended Posts

All the tools revert to their factory setting everytime I switch away and back to them.

I want the tools to remember how I set them.

As it stands now it's a lot of work to change the setting for a tool everytime I use it.

I looked for this problem on the forum but couldn't find it.

I bought Affinity Designer and will buy Affinity Photo when it's ready.

Is it all tools you are having a problem with? Can you point me to one that doesn't remember it's settings and I will have a look.

Hey Tony…

Maybe I was exaggerating a bit as I haven't tried all the tools.

Mainly I was switching between the paint brush and the bucket fill tool.

The paint brush would revert to 64 pixels and 80% hard and the bucket fill tool would revert to 20%.

I have a same problem in Affinity Photo (which I bought today after having Designer for a while). Resizing an image or cropping never remembers the lock settings and the anchor settings and also the Resample settings. Setting it up every time is kind of a pain for daily use. Can you help TonyB?

this is really annoying, every time i use a tool and switch to a new image or file, i have to apply my setting for the tool...for example healing brush tool always reverts to 100% opacity, 80% hardness....
