Delete Selection

Hi, I’m trying to delete a selection on the iPad version of Affinity Photo, but I can’t seem to do so.

 

Pressing delete on the smart keyboard does nothing.

 

The layer is PIXEL, which means it is already rasterized.

I make my selection in the selection persona, then switch to photo persona and press delete - nothing happens (and yes the layer is selected).

Welcome to Affinity Forums

The keyboard shortcuts were not fully implemented yet in the iPad version. To delete a selection tap the screen with two fingers in Photo Persona then select Delete from the pop-up that will appear..

Have you got a pixel layer highlighted? If it is an image layer it won't work and you will need to rasterise the image layer then delete the selection.

 Did that and it only will undo the selection. A one finger tap will bring up some menu items, but none of them will allow you to delete the selection. Help please!

Make a selection. Switch from Selection persona to Photo persona. One finger press on screen briefly (long press not tap), lift finger and menu appears. Select delete. Done.
