controlling mid tones in affinity windows

Depends on your need. Try clarity first, then curves, then blend ranges.


To use blend ranges, start with a live filter such as HSL, make the adjustment, then click on the gear icon for this layer. Then drag down the side nodes and drag up the middle of one of the graphs (can't remember which one, but experimenting will soon show which). Uncheck the 'linear' box to make a curve. This lets you control exactly which tones the adjustment is applied to. You can also re-tweak the adjustment any time.
