gerardvanschip
So I bought my Mac version through the app store from Apple and I read online that the license lets you install on both platforms but how does that work? I do not have a logon like you get when you buy direct. Am I stuffed?

The Mac version is sold exclusively through the Mac App Store and the Windows version is sold exclusively through Serif's own Affinity Store. Since Serif and Apple don't share their customer data, neither one has any way of knowing that you have a licence for the other version. Affinity Photo on iPad also requires a separate, but cheaper, licence. mac_heibu
If you mean with „both platforms“ two Macs: You may install AppStore software on all Macs using your Apple ID: Open the AppStore on your second machine, make sure, you are signed in with the same Apple ID, choose the Tab „Purchased“, find the app, you’ve already bought, and click „Install“ to the right of this entry.
