SweetP
I have watched the tutorial many times on how to use the Smart Selection Brush and the Refine Selection Tool and I cannot make a good selection of the enclosed image of the girl's hair. I would appreciate any help. It looks so easy on the tutorials but when I try it, it leaves a bunch of the green background or it chops off much of the long fine hair no matter how small or large I make the selection brush....very frustrating. Affinity iPad Student
Yea, I’ve been having these issues at some very fine points of my photos. Did you draw that? That’s an awesome painting. Staff Lee D Posted July 6, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 6, 2017 Something that may have an effect is the images quality, it does show pixelation in the area around the hair. You may get better results by using the Polygon Marquee Tool instead, perhaps also trying it freehand. Once this selection has been made you can then use the Refine Selection Tool, try setting the output to New layer with mask as you can always paint on the mask to add or remove areas.
