Good touches all around like the sky gradient, glowing/showcasing around your heron, the plant with blossoms in front, the choice of gray for the water. About the gradient: is isn't really a gradient but two colors with a blur. I still have to figure out about the gradients. I did some retouching as you can see, the ripple at the sun glow into the water and coloured the tips of the wing. Now I'm satisfied and leave it as it is. So much more to explore!
