How to find number of layers selected?

Recommended Posts

I have a hexagonal pattern svg I'm using, and I want to find the exact of hexagons I'm selecting, so I was wondering if there was a way to do that than just counting them manually. Each hexagon has their own layer.

When you select several objects with the Move tool, the Context toolbar should show the number of objects selected on the left. However, this is not necessarily the same as the number of layers because groups of many layers will only count as one object.

Is there any other way (other than selecting everything) of seeing or measuring number of total objects/layers/etc in a file?

If there is, I don't know what it would be.

Sadly yes, there should be instead some accessable information panel which tells the whole amount of used objects, amount of groups and layers etc.
