icuack
Hi there. Does anyone knows how can I correct the problems exporting images in EPS? All the figures inside of drawn are out of the frame and cutted! I'm in an urgent deadline? Is it a bug of Affinity Designer? Have you tried to export in EPS? Staff MattP Posted December 15, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2014 Hi icuack, can you either share a .afdesign file showing the problem, or at the very least a screenshot in the program and the output that you're seeing? I'm sure we can answer this for you. Also, have you tried using the latest Beta version as one of our new features is that we now have our own EPS exporter which I would expect to work much better than our original released version's EPS export. Thanks, Matt
Uria aalge
I've the same problem, exporting an eps file. Using the export function, choosing eps, the result is shown in the second pic.
Staff MattP Posted December 15, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2014 Have you tried the beta? I'm pretty sure you'll find this is fixed :)
Mediafuel
Have you tried the beta? I'm pretty sure you'll find this is fixed :) Hello MattP. Where would I find this Beta version? I am using AD 1.1.2 and am experiencing problems exporting EPS files. Many Thanks. Edit: I think I found it in the Beta section of this forum. Cheers. Quote Reality is perception. Staff MattP Posted December 16, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 16, 2014 I don't know what it's supposed to look like? Can you show the original or better still, just post the .afdesign file here so we can take a look? Thanks :)
Uria aalge
Here it is... This dark eps ist exported as an eps and shown in AD Beta. In AD 1.2.2 the eps it's OK. epsTest.afdesign
Staff MEB Posted December 16, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 16, 2014 @Uria aalge, Thanks for posting the file. Seems like a bug in the new EPS exporter. I've logged the issue to be looked at. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff MattP Posted December 18, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 18, 2014 This is caused by the document being in CMYK colour space. If you go to Document Setup and change it to RGB8 it will work fine. I'm sure we can get this exporting properly, thanks for the file :)
Uria aalge
Yes, the beta works fine if I change my document into RGB. Does it mean I can't make a CMYK.eps for my print layout in QXP?
Staff MattP Posted December 18, 2014 Staff Share Posted December 18, 2014 It just means that right now the beta version has a bug when creating CMYK EPS files - it'll get fixed soon :)
