antonkudin
When image is placed into a Photo document (via File/Place...) and edited externally, one in document remains in its original state until replaced manually. Would be useful if there was a way to make images 'Stay up-to-date' via a toggle or similar, so AP would detect changes. Figmatt
I've asked for this also, apparently it will come when the Publisher app (for desktop publishing and page layout) is released.
antonkudin
You mean it should come to Photo app or will i need to have Publisher+Photo installed?
Staff MEB Posted March 7, 2017 Staff Share Posted March 7, 2017 Hi antonkudin, Currently we only support embedded documents. As matt said support for linked documents should be introduced with Affinity Publisher (according to current plans) and will eventually ported back to both Photo and Designer. What you're not saying is that this extremely important and needed function would be delayed until 2018 since that's the probable release date for Publisher. Pressure needs to be placed in Affinity so they code and deliver this feature when it's needed, which is now, not in a year or more.
