In Photoshop, if I want to remove something like power lines from a photo, I can use the pen tool to create a path over the object, and then stroke that path with another tool like the spot healing brush to remove the line.   I couldn't find a way to use the pen and then stroke the curve with the inpainting brush to achieve the same result.  Is there a way to do that, or if not, is it being considered as a future enhancement?

Is there some reason just using the inpainting brush directly on the pixel layer with a small radius to confine it to the area you want to retouch won't work for you?

Depending on the image, that often works, but if there are a lot of long lines or other shapes it is faster and more accurate to be able to draw a path and then use another tool to stroke along that path.    I have used this for other than removing lines, for example to use the sponge tool on the strings of an instrument.  Using the pen and path is much more accurate than brushing by hand.

As with the Paint Brush Tool, you can Shift-click with the Inpainting Brush Tool to make a straight brush stroke between the last clicked point and the current cursor position. Drag slightly when clicking if you want to see the usual red overlay showing the area which will be affected.
