Hello!

I didn't buy Affinity Photo because of colour depth.

I have some test images that I've been using in Lightroom 6 they are 10 bit per channel ramps in PSD, TIFF and PNG formats.

All of them display in Lightroom without stepping on my AMD RX480 & Dell 3011 via Display Port.

If I try to view these images in Win10's photo viewer, I see stepping.

If I try to view these images in Fast Picture Viewer I see stepping.

This isn't intended to be disparaging, rather a point that I love to see addressed in future versions.

Kind regards,

Shad.

Hey Shad, thanks for your feedback. 10-bit monitor support is something that the developers are aware of, and it will hopefully find its way into the apps eventually. Out of interest, did you find the test imagery from somewhere or create it yourself?

Thanks,

James

so in 2015 they were working on it and in 2016 realised that it does not work with their high frame rates

but maybe they can make it work with lower frame rates non the less

or maybe high end PC hardware has more options than mac

they had 10 bit on a broad range of products earlier than apple I guess

cheers
