Morten_Hjort
I'm having an issue where some lines have a higher line-height if I want it on a single line as attached. Its properly a simple thing, but I've tried all settings in the character and paragraph panel without luck. Same with holding down keys which works on Wordpress. Anyone who can help? Staff MEB Posted January 23, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2017 Hi Morten_Hjort. If I understood you correctly you want the second paragraph (starts with Med guldpakken får I...) with the same line-height as the first (starts with Ønsker I at kombinere...). The reason they have a different line height is because the first has a leading override applied (10.5 pt) in the Character panel - set that value to auto to remove the Leading Override (the value will be put inside parenthesis), then go to the Paragraph panel and set the leading there in the Paragraph Leading field (check the tooltip to see which one is it). Finally for the second paragraph - which already have the Leading Override set to auto in the Character panel (the value is already between parenthesis) - set the Paragraph Leading to the same value as the first paragraph. Usually you should use the Paragraph panel to define the Leading for the text, and only use the Leading Override in the Character panel when needed to solve specific alignment issues in part of a paragraph. No its actually only the paragraph I initially uploaded that starts with "Med guldpakken får I". Below that, there's some lines that starts with "-" like "- Paintball". It looks like its 2 lines down, but its only 1 (according to AD) and I'm not able to put it just one line down.
Staff MEB Posted January 23, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2017 Press ⌃(ctrl) + Enter to force a line break when starting those lines (and keep the same line-height) instead of pressing Enter and starting a new paragraph. Is that what you looking for? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Morten_Hjort
Press ⌃(ctrl) + Enter to force a line break when starting those lines (and keep the same line-height) instead of pressing Enter and starting a new paragraph. Is that what you looking for? Yes it sounds very much like it. However my text gets converted to outlines with that shortcut. Whats it called? Then I can find it in the settings-panel. And thanks for the great feedback here :)
Staff MEB Posted January 23, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2017 If you are using Windows the equivalent shortcut is Shift + Enter (the one i gave you before is for Mac, sorry).
