  1. But I'm 100% sure I haven't actively set it to use Constraints. If so it has done it automatically when I grouped some content.
  2. Attached Demo.afdesign In new docs it also works. Also had issue with paragraphs, but somehow that suddenly works. I've had more bugs with the 1.7 than 1.6 so far :l
  3. Thats so weird. It works now and I see it, but earlier it had "( )" and no matter which kind of line spacing I made it didn't change. This is the normal behaviour right now, but it's not always like that.
  4. This is not the first time I've encountered this and it annoys me I don't know how to fix it. I simply want to use a more normal line-hight (or spacing) for a paragraph, but somehow it wont change no matter what I do. I've uploaded the demo-file and a video-recording of the issue. What am I doing wrong? Demo.afdesign Issue.mov
  5. I've never had any issues in prior versions to align text, but I'm no longer able to do basic alignments in v1.7.2 Align.mov
  6. Disable the "Enable Metal compute acceleration". That including using OpenGL fixed it for me. There are HUGE changes in performance depending on the settings, but Serif haven't been very vocal about it.
  7. I have a weird issue where I cannot distribute some layers, which usually works fine. I've added a video and the file here. Distribute.mov Wireframes.afdesign
  8. I think for many people the 1.7 are much slower, but try to un-check "Enable Metal compute acceleration". For me it did the job. Also I have a similar set up (different GPU though) and using OpenGL is also faster than Metal.
  9. It sounds like a problem with your App Store account and not so much Affinity. Have you checked if your license is with the account you're logged in with?
  10. The same for me here with a 2016 MBP 15" with dedicated GPU. Removing Metal Compute and using OpenGL seems to be just slightly faster, but that could easily be perceived-only. I suppose these settings are too advanced most people including a techy as me, so maybe some general "whats your setup and this is then the recommended settings" would be advisable?
  11. I rarely do other things than working in Affinity's apps, but Photoshop is also quite slow. A good idea to hear about that issues from other users. I remember I first got the 13" 2016 MBP, but it couldn't work at all with the 5K screen, so I was allowed to return the unit for an upgrade. Perhaps just a cheap egpu will be enough so theres a dedicated unit to drive the screen.
  12. Yeah I also considered this, but the Ultrafine 5K needs a eGPU with 2 T ports unfortunately
  13. True. Considering the "cheapest" Blackmagic so theres a dedicated device to handle the 5K display. Not a cheap solution but then again I properly dont need more advanced stuff for my usage.
  14. I'm using all Affinity apps although Designer perhaps 80% of the time doing UX/UI. My current 2016 MBP 15" is connected to an LG Ultrafine 5K monitor which means performance sometimes is a bit sluggish. I'm considering updating my setup and have looked into buying an eGPU, but I dont know if that would be the best solution? Would it be better to go for the 8-core i9 and perhaps more ram (currently having 16gb)? Or is it perhaps only my 5K monitor giving me issues as the UI design shouldn't be so taxing on the resources?
  15. True, but its seems like a bit of hack for a small (but veeeery nice) feature. Hope they add it in a future update. At least an obvious thing to add between AD and AP now they have it running in Publisher
  16. Is there a plan to add StudioLink inside AD (and AP)? Would be great to quickly switch to Photo when working on UX/UI in Designer
  17. I often change width on an element when doing UI but I've never ever needed the text to expand as well, which means I every time have to click on the text and make sure it doesnt get stretched. An option to change such specific defaults would be great although I understand it might not be so simple to create a good UX around that.
  18. Seems this parameter are now gone in the beta and only accessable from the color-pane. Do you expect it to come back before the proper 1.7 launch?
  19. I remember I asked a year ago where I was told the Affinity apps mainly used the CPU, but I now read that the coming 1.7 versions are utilizing the GPU (or multiply) better. My Macbook Pro from 2016 is still serving me well, but I wouldn't mind a boost. So in short: is there a proper gain by adding a fast GPU when I use the new 1.7 versions?
  20. I'm having the same issue. Its unusable if I cant easy control the last line or even better every single line without the need to create several layers. Any smart tricks I'm not aware of?
  21. All of them, but I use AD the most, so I'm actually not sure it works the same in Publisher (maybe more relevant to use the feature there).
  22. All new documents starts the spelling checker when I import some text which I'm not interested in using. Can I somehow disable it as a default for all new documents? Haven't found a solution yet
  23. Ahh damn and I even tried to look thoroughly for an Error 40. Thanks!!
