dkistner1111 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I'm switching from Adobe CS5 Illustrator (which won't play nice with Yosemite) to Affinity. I use Illustrator for cover design and have a bunch of templates I rely on. I don't want to have to recreate these from scratch. I can pull an .ai file into Affinity, but not an .ait file. Unfortunately, I can't just save the .ait files to .ai in Illustrator because it crashes every time I try. Is there a way to get my Illustrator templates into Affinity? If not, will you please add this capability ASAP?
Staff TonyB Posted November 21, 2014 Staff Posted November 21, 2014 We can't load Illustrator template files as they don't include a PDF stream. You will need to save the template files as normal Illustrator files to load them into Affinity. This isn't something we can fix, sorry. Kathrin and dkistner1111 2
dkistner1111 Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 Okay, thanks Top Cat for the quick response. I'm going to have to find somebody with an older Mac to convert these for me, but it's doable.
