Grumpy1954
Hello, I've been having a bit of a curious problem with copying an image from Safari and then pasting into a new AP document. All I get is https text. This does not happen if I paste the same image into, say, Gimp, an email, or Pages. Nor does it happen if I use Firefox or Safari, which I suppose is the obvious answer to the issue, but I much prefer Chrome to either of these alternatives, especially the latter. I've trawled the forum, I've been able to find is something similar, but in relation to Safari rather than Chrome. Any suggestions gratefully accepted! love-sietspl
Staff MEB Posted November 21, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 21, 2016 Hi Grumpy1954, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) This seems to be related with how the images were inserted in the page. Some will work, other don't. If you right-click on one that doesn't work and select Open Image in New Tab and then copy it from there it should work. I will pass this to the dev team to check if we can do something about it. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Grumpy1954
Thanks for the very quick reply, just tried this and it works perfectly. Thanks again. :D
jer
Another workaround is screen capture to clipboard, then paste into AD. Resolution will be similar probably. If image is larger than your screen, some capture tools scroll in capture mode. FastStone Capture is one that has that feature. Grumpy1954
Thanks for the tip. I'd been doing the shift/command/4 thing to capture to the desktop, then dragging into AP. That works fine, just a little cumbersome.
