Refine Selection and Feather values reset....

I create a mask on a Mask Layer.

I right click for Refine Mask.

I adjust FEATHER to say 10px. Apply.

 

When I re-select Refine Mask the FEATHER is reset to 0px and not retained. I have to reselect it. I assume all the other values (border, smooth etc.) are also reset?

 

I expect my prior values to be retained until I amend them, if at all..

Hi Paul,

 

As far as I am aware this is how this dialog is meant to work. The idea being that you will be looking to refine a selection to a certain point, and you probably won't want to continually refine it with the same values to achieve that, the values you want to refine with will be different each time the dialog is used.

 

However if you had multiple mask layers then I can see it would have a use to remember the settings, it might be a future improvement we can look at. I'd be interested in hearing some feedback from other users.
