by now i used the programms from print-service when i created my own photo books.

In order to to get rif of the dependency print-service - programm i am looking for a stand alone programm for creating die pages and let them print where i want.

I wonder if this can solely be achieved with affinity photo or if you would recommend to use affinity designer.

Key features are following:

The images should be "imported" by links respectively it should only be referenced - so if i change the image in Lightroom and export it to the same folder with the same name it should change in the software.

i need to resize the photos at every state - in the photoshop world this can be done with smart objects (as far as i know). Is there a feature in affinity like this?

do you have recommendations how to create your own photo book with affinity tools?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. :)

Sorry, I don't have any real world experience in this area, but hopefully someone else has and can advise you.

lightroom phot books are great as far as you don´t wan´t your own layout. Adding a photo (cell) or remove one isn´t possible in the given design. In the print module you can´t specify the image section if you don´t use the image origianl aspect ratio. So you´re somehow locked to the given layouts.

The import by reference is no show stopper for me, but the losless resizing. Is it possible in affinity Photo?
