matt.baker
The fill and stroke numeric fields for a shape on the top tool bar are buggy. After entering a value and pressing the enter key they no longer allow the backspace, delete or arrow keys (text caret does not move) when re-entering values. The ones on the palettes work as expected. Bug was present in 1.5.0.24 as well. Highly recommended open source screen capture software (useful for bug reports). https://getsharex.com/
Staff Jon P Posted October 19, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2016 Heya, I can't reproduce this at the moment, the number fields on the fill flyout act the same, pressing enter applies whatever value I've just entered and then I click again to regain focus. What OS are you on? Do you find this happens with any other controls in the app at all? Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
matt.baker
Hi Jon I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Version 1607 Build 14393.321. Edit: How bizarre - I've just tried it again and it's working as expected now. I'll let you know if it comes back. matt.baker
This has returned for me. It also happens on the gradient fill opacity numeric fields. Steps that reproduced for me: New document: web pixels New rectangle shape Fill option in top toolbar: set to gradient tab Left colour node active. Opacity numeric: select and type 50. Press enter. Right colour node active. Opacity numeric: select and type 50. Press enter. Back to opacity left numeric select type new number. Press enter. - Enter no longer works and arrow keys etc. Highly recommended open source screen capture software (useful for bug reports). https://getsharex.com/
Staff Jon P Posted October 21, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 21, 2016 Hmm, unfortunately i'm still struggling to reproduce it even whilst following that recipe. I've asked a few colleagues to give it a try but none of us have had any luck yet! Are you able to reproduce it 100% of the time with that recipe from a fresh run up of the application? I'll keep poking it and see if there is maybe a step we are missing Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
matt.baker
So far it has been consistently failing even after closing the software. I will try it on my laptop at home (Windows 10 x64 Home Premium) to see if it happens there as well. Staff Jon P Posted October 21, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 21, 2016 Hmmm, well i can definitely see it happening but i'm not doing anything different to the steps you follow in the video! Do you have any software installed that could be interfering with keyboard presses, any type of software that assists in typing etc? Let us know how it is on your laptop, i'm guessing it is fairly isolated issue. Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
matt.baker
Looks like it is the configuration on my work machine. Laptop at home works fine. Very odd.
