Flag
This is my first Mac, it is a 10-12. I have a Canon Pro 100. It is impossible to make the printer do tasks like borderless prints from affinity, or from the Photo program. Also, why can't I download pics from my 70D camera directly into Affinity? And , I can't move the pics from Photos into Affinity. I am very displeased, It shouldn't be that hard.
Staff Lee D Posted October 3, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 3, 2016 Dear Flag, Welcome to the forums. When printing are you making sure the correct Paper Size is selected, such as A3 > A3 Borderless, then making sure the Scaling is set correctly, such as Actual size or Scale. However if your having similar issues in another app, you may want to check to see if you have the latest drivers for your Canon printer installed. The Canon 70D is a supported camera, once you've transferred your images from your camera to your Mac, in Affinity Photo use File > Open to browse to where you've stored them and select to Open. In you've used Apple Photos to import your images you can use the Media Browser in Affinity on the View menu, which will allow you to browse the images in your Photos library. Currently to move an from Apple Photos to Affinity Photo you need to follow these steps: In Apple Photos, select the photo you want to export as RAW, then go to menu File ▸ Export ▸ Export Unmodified Original For x Photo. This is going to be updated once we release our 1.5 update, which is currently being beta tested as it will include a new extension which will give the option to Edit in Affinity Photo. Hope this helps L
R C-R
Hi Flag. If you are new to Macs, it might be a good idea to click on the question mark icon in the print dialog window, which will open the macOS Help system to the "Print Dialog" help topic. That will explain some of the less obvious things about how printing works on Macs. Also, the "Show Details" button in the dialog will reveal more printing options, including those specific to a selected printer & application specific ones.
