Richard.fwill Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I just recently purchased Affinity Designer after creating a piece of work during my 10 day free trial. I put many hours into the design, and now after having purchased the full version of Designer, I am not able to find the saved file anywhere nor open up the work. How can I recover this file? Or do I have to start from scratch? Quote
Staff Ben Posted October 3, 2016 Staff Posted October 3, 2016 We wouldn't have deleted your work when installing the full version of Affinity. It may not show in your recent files list, but it must still be on your drive somewhere (unless you have deleted it yourself). I'd advise checking your Trash, and trying to do a search for .afdesign files on the whole of your drive. R C-R Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Type "afdesign" (without the quotes) in Finder's search field. It should offer you the choice to search for Affinity Design documents, like this: Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
