Diggs
I recently purchased Affinity Photo and so far I am impressed. Using the video tutorials has been a great help. However in using the Video that describes the Dodge and Burn, I was attempting to follow the mouse to see how the width control was accomplished. The mouse did NOT move to the top command line and choose a width, but rather appeared to be controlled by some other process, transparent to the eye. Is there another way of controlling the width control?
R C-R
As with several other tools, you can hold down the Control & Alt/Option keys to interactively control width by dragging horizontally & hardness by dragging vertically. You can also use the keyboard left & right square bracket keys "[" & "]" to decrease or increase width respectively, although this may be problematic on some non U.S.-English keyboards. Madame
And if you don't have an english keyboard, you can assign new keystroke to the function. Preferences> keyboard shortcuts> affintity photo dropdown menu. You can check Help ▸ Affinity Designer Help, Workspace, Keyboard Shortcuts.
