Dispaly of AF format images in viewer apps

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have three imagE browsers which I use, none of them show af format images, just a grey box. Would it be possible as with raw that there was a thumbnail jpeg imbedded with the image so I could see all my af format images in the browser? Or maybe I am missing something which is more than likely!

Cheers....

if you´re using the 1.5 betas or wait for them to hit the MAS you´ll be able to export to TIFF and embed the Affinity layers

- the programs can then preview the TIFF (or actually just display the TIFF) and Affinity can open the TIFF and also open it´s layers which are embedded into the TIFF (similar to how PS can embed PS layers into a TIFF)

Not exactly what you are looking for but you can use a Finder Spotlight search on "afphoto" with kind set to Affinity Photo Document to see all your AP files in a Finder window. Using the Icon or Cover Flow Finder view will allow you to browse by appearance at various display sizes.

AP (& AD) also support Quick Look so in a Finder list view of a folder with a mix of AP & other documents you can select a file, tap the spacebar to see its preview popped out into a QL window, & then use the up/down cursor keys to scroll through all the documents in that folder. This also works with the Affinity open dialog, but it is a little quirky in that tapping the spacebar a second time to close the QL window leaves the last item selected but the cursor keys dead until you click again in the Open dialog window.
