[1.5.0.12] Shift-drag on colour sliders doesn't work as expected

According to this thread, holding down the Shift key while dragging on any of the colour slider controls should make the other controls move in step with it, but there is no obvious difference between dragging without a modifier key and dragging with Shift (or any other modifier key) held down.
