Bug on Layers / Objects on Art boards on Affinity Designer Version 2.6 9be21

For some reason when I create new objects, all of them are created below the Artboard, and then if I move those objects on top of the Artboard, whenever I update an object, the object automatically goes below the Artboard again.  Even if I create a new Layer and put several circles on it, and move it above the Artboard, when I edit the circles, some of them automatically go outside of the layer and they move to below the Artboard.  Even if I put a lock on the Artboard, it keeps happening... it is very annoying.

This is when I put several figures inside Layer1

This is when After selecting the figures inside Layer1, and changing their position using arrow keys, they pass automatically to be below/under the Artboard1.

That lock isn’t designed to prevent things being grabbed by an Artboard.
Instead, you need to disable Edit All Layers at bottom left corner of the Layers panel.

By the way, you are seeing the designed behaviour of the app when Artboards are involved, not a bug.

Also, objects are being pulled into the Artboard, rather than below the Artboard - notice the nesting.

Interesting, good to know.  I dont understand the rationale though.

Yup, lost in translation, but yes.  Inside.
