Mark McCallum Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Hi All. I am running Affinity Designer 2.6.0 on a Macbook Pro M1 Max with macOS Sequoia Version 15.3.2. For some reason, "Machine Learning Modules" does not appear in the settings menu. I have searched these forums but cannot find any similar topics. Any assistance is appreciated. Cheers - Mark Quote
MikeTO Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Hi @Mark McCallum and welcome to the forums. Right-click the application in Finder, choose Get Info, and deselect "Open using Rosetta" if it's selected. That should resolve the issue if you're inadvertently running Affinity under Rosetta which would make it think you have an Intel CPU. Some users have found they were using Rosetta due to an old plugin. Mark McCallum Posted March 17 Author Posted March 17 (edited) Hey @MikeTO! Thanks for your reply. I saw that in other topics. I don't have "Open using Rosetta" selected, and as far as I can tell, I don't even have the Rosetta utility installed, when I CMD Space Bar and search for Rosetta, I have the option to "get" it. So, still stymied, unfortunately. Edited March 17 by Mark McCallum Quote

Mark McCallum Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 @carl123 @MikeTO Thanks Gents. Looks like I will need to expand my Affinity tool set. Given the announcement upon opening designer, I just assumed it was part of that application. Cheers - mark Quote
Paige S Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I am having the same issue. I have downloaded the latest Affinity Photo (2.6.0), and my settings do not have machine learning. I am running MAC OS Ventura 13.7.1. I did what MikeTo suggested and I am not running Rosetta. Any other suggestions for finding the machine learning section, as it's definitely not in my settings. Thank you. Quote
MikeTO Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Hi @Paige S and welcome to the forums. What processor is in your Mac? You need to have an M1 or later. If you have an Intel processor, the machine learning option will not appear for you. Paige S Posted April 2 Posted April 2 @MikeTO Thanks. That's definitely the issue. Ah the great internal debate--update the computer/buy new one eventually and lose some programs that are now "subscription only" or keep the computer until it dies and updated programs aren't fully functional I appreciate the help and at least now I can stop trying to find the machine learning options.
