When I created the document, I set the linked file option in the settings, but during work, the setting automatically reset to embed. I have already pointed this out in previous versions. This also happens with other settings—for example, in the transform panel, when I link the width and height for transformation, it resets itself again.

I have just tested this here at the setting is retained for me please could you provide a screen recording or steps I can follow to recreate this issue?
