Ali1 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hi I have recently purchased a new laptop and want to transfer my Designer and Photo app license across to my new device. I have not downloaded the Apps yet on my Mac. Please can you advise how I go about doing this, to avoid any complications? For info I'm still on the V1 of the app. Thanks Quote
PaulEC Posted February 6 Posted February 6 You don't need to transfer the licence, the personal licence allows you to download the software on any/all computers that you control. (As long as they are the same OS.) Just to be clear, if the original purchase was made with a view to installing on a Mac, the licence will be for iMac or MacBook only, since there was no universal licence option for version 1. If the new laptop is a Windows machine you will need a separate licence for it, but version 1 licences are no longer available for purchase, meaning that if you buy a new licence for a Windows laptop you will only be able to create version 2 files on that laptop. Files created in or saved from a version 2 app cannot be opened in any of the version 1 apps.
