AnneES Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hi I since I have upgraded to an Apple M2 Pro (Sonoma 14.7) I've noticed that I am starting to experience the wheel of death on Affinity Photo. This happens when I am just doing simple things like using the cropping and editing features on RAW files. It generally feels very draggy! Can anyone advise? Should I download the app again? The app was transferred automatically from my old Mac to this new one. Thanks! Quote
Staff Callum Posted February 4 Staff Posted February 4 Hi AnnES, Welcome to the forums Sorry to hear Affinity keeps freezing, please could you try navigating to the apps preferences and under performance try disabling Metal Compute to see if this solves your issue? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
AnneES Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Hi thanks will give that a try and let you know! Quote
Staff James Ritson Posted February 5 Staff Posted February 5 Hi @AnneES are you using V1 by any chance (not V2)? If so, don't disable Metal Compute just yet. Instead, under System Settings>Display (from the macOS icon in the top left), try disabling Automatically Adjust Brightness...
