MikeTO Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I'm not sure if this is a bug or suggestion. Select a footnote with the Move tool - X-handles appear to indicate that it cannot be transformed Press Delete - the footnote will be deleted X-handles mean different things for: For a manually-locked layer, you cannot select it with the Move tool and must select it with the panel but you can delete it. For a master page layer, you can select it with the Move tool cannot delete it without editing detached. For a footnote, you can select it with the Move tool and delete it. This feels wrong to me is that if I have all three types of objects on the page and drag select everything, only the footnote will be deleted. I accidentally deleted some footnotes when deleting nearby objects because I didn't know I could delete a footnote this way. Perhaps footnotes should only be deletable by deleting the note reference? Staff NathanC Posted Tuesday at 02:17 PM Staff Posted Tuesday at 02:17 PM Hi @MikeTO, I've logged this with the developers for review; it does seem unintentional that it's possible to easily and unintentionally select and delete note objects with the move tool. MikeTO 1 Quote
