RainbowsC Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I have a book of multiple chapters. Each chapter has a lot of proper names in it that I want the spellcheck to ignore. For each chapter, preflight shows a long list of ''mistakes'' that I want to ignore. Many of the 'mistakes' are duplicated in one chapter after another. It's tedious telling the system to ignore every 'mistake' one by one. Is there a quicker way? Is it possible to select a group of 'mistakes' in the list and tell Affinity to 'ignore all'? Quote

It is an operation performed one at a time. However, it might be feasible for you to Learn the spellings, rather than Ignore them. Ignored words are recorded in the individual .afpub file, but Learned words are recorded in a dictionary file that would be used by all your .afpub files. That would mean you only Learn a particular word once, and it applies to all your files rather than just one of them. RainbowsC Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 Thank you. That's as I feared. An area the developers need to look at. It really is painful having to go through a very long list of mistakes that are not mistakes! Quote

I currently have 1256 words in my custom spelling dictionary, almost all capitalized names of people and places.
