  1. Hello @Alfred, I've read that just after my post. I sent it to their customer support :-)
  2. Alphabetical order and much more care is needed for this panel. I'm working on a project where I use dozens of symbols. Except the "Create" button, this symbol panel is as useless as it can be: That regularly happens: when scrolling up/down, the thumbnails change size and background color. (I've screenshot the videos below in case .mov doesn't work here) That regularly happens: When resizing the panel, same crazy behavior. Restarting Designer fixed (1) and (2) but only temporarily. Even after restarting, when scrolling up/down slowly, you can see the symbols slightly moving left and right at each increment of the mouse wheel. The title of each symbol goes from edge to edge which makes reading anything very difficult. I wish to be able to sort symbols by alphabetic order I wish to be able to display them in a list view I wish to be able to choose the thumbnail size There is no interface to be able to swap a symbol which would be very very very convenient (unless I missed it) There are no visual feedback when hovering a symbol within the panel so you are never 100% sure you are picking the right one (if you can even see it in the panel). Right click > rename does not highlight which symbol exactly. Why not allow us to "double clicking" it to rename ? The rename popup window appears in the middle of the screen, so still, no idea if you are renaming the right one. And the worst in my opinion is that, if you have a symbol inside another symbol and then, you ungroup the parent symbol, the symbol inside ungroups too. Very not practical. I wish there were a option to remove any unused symbol. I wish we could apply anything outside a symbol without impacting all the other ones (shadow, transparency, visibility). If I add a shadow to one symbol but not the others, I must group with itself first and then apply the shadow to the group. If I wanted a shadow to all linked symbol I'd add it inside that symbol. Linking everything we add on top of a symbol should be unique. That's more flexible that way in my opinion. Like I want to hide that symbol but toggling the visibility hides all of them... How this is useful? Did I miss the option to deactivate that behavior? Inside linked, outside, let me do what I want, please! That's all I have in mind for now. Hopefully the Affinity team will come around. Screen Recording 2025-10-03 at 12.22.47 in the afternoon.mov Screen Recording 2025-10-03 at 5.16.42 in the afternoon.mov
  3. I'll put my post here as well. Hopefully we get noticed one day!
  4. I completely agree with you @flobnoit! I've created a topic this year about this and I got almost no answer... Those variables are half baked only. We need the real stuff, please.
  5. I just realized that this topic is on the Ipad section :-) I'll copy that post into the right place then!

  7. @user_0815, you are right :-). I forgot to mentioned about that flying layer.
  8. That gap keeps growing! How far will it go?
  9. Hello, I've had that issue for a long time now but never mentioned it here. When renaming an artboard, the cursor appears only if I click in the field. If I use only the keyboard, it does not. Sometimes I wish I'd see it no matter what interaction I use :-) Do you get the same behaviour on your side? shy cursor.mp4
  10. Hello, I'm seeing something that I think could be a bog. For context, I'm creating reference shots for products so other people in the team can create consistent sizes. I'm doing simple steps duplicating the png photo pasting a symbol which is just a solid colour grouping the symbol with one of the photo use the photo as a mask so I got the shape only in a solid colour Finally I add a touch of colour on top so we have a better idea of what product is it. Growing gap issue As you can see I've got a few artboards. Towards the end of this boring task (I could have scripted it maybe) I've started to notice that each time I grouped layers and then open that folder, the interface "added" a gap. The more artboards I processed, the bigger that gap became. At the beginning it was not impacting the drag and drop (Photo to mask) but at the end (as shown in the video), I had to close/reopen the folder for that gap to disappear. How strange is that?! :-) grouping creates gap.mp4
  11. Hello, For a while now I felt that scrolling within the slices panel in Export Persona was not smooth until I realised that certain fields were blocking it. Depending on where the cursor is on that panel the scroll will work or not. That's not the end of the world of course but having a smooth scrolling experience would be better right? Do you have the same issue on your end or that's just me?
  12. To give a more concrete example, I am saving several product photos in several formats. The second PNG export exports the image in 2 different sizes and its name must be the product's barcode. Ideally, I'd setup a variable "barcode" once and then apply it to both paths but that does not work. Those variables are fully independent and I must copy paste that barcode twice each time which is kinda pointless. TO be
  13. Hello, Why are variables not reusable in Export Persona? In the screen recoding below I export one image in 9 different [sizes x formats]. By setting up a variable once I expected to use it across that Persona but that's not the case. That variable must be created each time which totally defies the use of variables. I don't expect to create vars that work across Affinity files, but it would make sense that it works within each file, no? Am I missing something here? Export Persona variables.mp4
  14. Problem solved! @LYVIANTAN, indeed, that worked. No more "Screen recording" popup after removing it totally. Cool! I don't know why I haven't thought about this earlier! Thank you :-)
  15. Hello there, I agree with @carl123, rotating the view is the focus. The reason? I regularly deal with product stickers. Sometimes, a sticker wraps from front to top to back so I end up with up side down text which is not easy to double check. As I work on a 14 Kg iMac, I could: get a work out and rotate that iMac get a twisted neck print that sticker or simply rotate the view by 180° to check if my text is correct :-) - - - Via menu, as shown above, Illustrator does that task in 3 clicks when Designer does it in 24 clicks IF I don't miss click! (and I do). So far, the solution given by @Alfred of creating keyboard shortcuts is the best solution for my case but not everyone like to use shortcuts. I also agree with @NotMyFault on this one.
