Maize Posted January 16 Posted January 16 So i would like to request a steam version of the 3 software packages that are available. Other major retailers are also doing this as well, Adobe, houdini, etc. So core benefits are: - Compatibility (especially for linux and mac, due to steams ability to run software and games through their compatibility layer, Thats how i run a lot of my software like substance and a few others that are windows only so i know this works.) - More visibility and sales conversion opportunities - A simple installation method that is centralised to a lot of users, (its not that its hard with a .msix or .exe, its just beneficial) - Being a part of the single biggest distribution network the world has to offer for computers that is second to none. - And the ability to have your software to indie game devs more efficiently. (Yes we are all looking for PS alternatives. thats exactly why i left photoshop for affinity. it is so much better) - Steam has great analytics as well. You can easily track and use their metrics to gauge performance of sales aswell as active user counts and hours. As affinity v2 license owner would be nice to be able to register our key so we can install from there. Would love to see this in the store that we could use. lashman 1 Quote
