racc24 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Hallo, So for some reason, i decided i want to switch to affinity photo, but because i am a Linux User, i had to create a Windows 10 Virtual Machine. The VM was running fine so i tried to download affinity photo, designer and also publisher. I have installed affinity photo but for some reason the font is just... wrong. I tried to redownload the app but problem stayed. When i open the affinity photo i could see agreement with great looking font, but when i tried to use affinity the toolbar, and not just that but every word / words looked wrong. The only solution is when i just pass the cursor throught the words. Then they turn normal. But the font stays normal only until you close the application. When you open app back, its again broken. And also the un-clickable options (the grey one) on these the "pass the cursor throught.." trick wont work. Im so sorry about the quality of photos. PS: the image IMG_20250112_221125.jpg has half a text looking normal after cursor trick and the next half is broken. Thanks for reading Quote

First of all, it's not a bug in the Affinity programmes! You are using the programmes in a virtual machine running on a host operating system (Linux) that is not supported by Serif. The display errors are probably caused by inappropriate graphics drivers or faulty or missing or outdated system files (dotNET) for the guest system (Windows). I use Windows 11 in a VMware Fusion VM under MacOS for support purposes and have no display problems. My recommendation for you is to choose a different graphics card in/for the VM or see if there are newer guest tools for the guest operating system. It may help to deactivate the HWA in the programmes. You can find this under Settings > Performance. racc24 1 Quote MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.3194) Affinity Suite V 2.6.1 & Beta 2.6 (latest) Interested in a free (selfhosted) PDF Solution?
