Photo – Unable to edit live filter layer

I am working on a document with a series of live filters and adjustments. I wanted to amend the clarity filter but each time I clicked on it, the adjustment window flashes and disappears:

 

I should have shown on the screen record that I was able to amend other filters just fine – it was only the clarity filter. I managed to resolve this by saving the file then closing and reopening. I didn't need to fully close Photo.

Happy to upload the .afphoto file if that would help. Given closing and reopening has sorted it I don't think this is easily re-produceable.

This is happening because you have the Picker selected in one of your Curves Adjustment layers.

Select the Move tool from the tools palette and all will work as expected...

Thanks very much for that. I had been using the picker tool so that makes sense. I didn't realise this was a thing to look out for
