PotatoDono Posted January 7 Posted January 7 So this is fairly confusing as I have been extensively testing it and cannot find any rhyme or reason to this. I have a fairly simple design so far, just a square, in a square outline with some text, all warped using the same perspective. When I used Convert to Curves, it crashed the program 3 times in a row. So, I separated the elements into their own layers and tried again and it crashed on the regular rectangle 3 more times. Tested with the outline and the same thing, but the text converted without any issues, which I originally thought was the problem layer. Okay, so I tested with a new rectangle and new warp and no issues, new rectangle old warp no issues, but old rectangle and new warp crashed as well. Moved the layers to a new file and they were still crashing. I have tried setting the rectangle back to what I thought were standard settings and still it crashed. Also disabled hardware acceleration and it still crashed. I have managed to get around the issue by making a new rectangle but keeping my old warp group, but this was really annoying and am hoping there can be some fix for the problem. I have added the file that has caused my suffering. Thanks untitled.afdesign Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 9 Staff Posted January 9 Welcome to the forums @PotatoDono, Quite an unusual case, I stripped the file back to only one of the faulting rectangles and removed the existing warp group, changed around all different shape properties and settings and even copied it over to a separate document, but regardless the app hang/crash would still occur on conversion. I've logged this with the developers for further investigation. Quote
PotatoDono Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 So I have been working for another couple of hours and have encountered this problem again. I have been using the convert to curves quite a lot and have had 0 issues since the one I reported already. It is now occurring with 3 separate warp groups and 6 different shapes, but changing the shapes is now no longer working either. I am at a loss and this is really preventing my ability to get my work done. If there is a way to expedite the assistance, I would appreciate it. Thank you! Quote
lepr Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) In case it helps the devs, v2.4.2 on macOS has no problem with instantly performing the operation, whereas the current beta v2.6 goes into beach ball mode for several minutes before producing the conversion. Edited January 9 by lepr NathanC 1 Quote
