Yurembo Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Hello there! Could someone help me recreate the same dots as shown in the bottom section of the card? I have circled this area with a red square. Quote

Play around with the Halftone filter, either the destructive version (Filter > Colour > Halftone) or the Filter adjustment layer. dots.afphoto Ldina and Yurembo 1 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Ldina Posted January 7 Posted January 7 @Yurembo In Affinity Photo... I added a Live Halftone Filter, set Dot to Cosine, Cellsize to 11, Contrast to 30, Screen Angle to 330°, and Blend Mode to Lighten. This affected the entire image, so I added a Rectangle sized to the gray area where you wanted dots, used the Gradient Tool to fade to dots near the bottom, and dragged this onto the Thumbnail of the Live Halftone Filter (masking position). This limited the effect to that gray area. You can play with settings to adjust the Halftone filter as desired. Yurembo Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Could someone help me understand how to edit a filter after I’ve added it? Quote
Ldina Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Single Click on the thumbnail of the Adjustment Layer or Live Filter Layer that you want to edit and the dialog box with your settings will appear. You can then readjust them if you wish. I noticed you have the Halftone Filters set as a "child" of the Rectangle. This allows the color of your rectangle hides the curtains and the elements on the side and top, which is fine if that's what you want. What I did limited where the dots were applied, so dots were overlaid on those elements, but they are not totally hidden. Did you try it the way I suggested in my example? They give different results. Yurembo Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 @Ldina It seems everything worked out, thank you so much! Ldina 1 Quote
