I've worked with the attached variable font over the last year across multiple different documents. All of a sudden the axes don't work correctly anymore. Instead of displaying a gradual shift in the sharpness there's just two options: below 50 = no sharpness, 50+ = 100 sharpness. The weight slider also only corresponds to the weights that are delivered with the static font now as well. I'm in the final stretch of my bachelor's degree project and I need this font to work. Can anyone help?
I'm working on Windows 10.

Thanks in advance. Oh, and a happy new year.

If it's a fixable bug in version 2.5.7 I'd still love to know!

Since Serif are busy working on 2.6 (where the issue seems to have been fixed) it’s unlikely that an update to 2.5 will become available unless there’s a major ‘show-stopping’ bug that needs fixing immediately.

Note: Have you checked to see if you have permission to distribute that font publicly? If you have not checked, or you have checked and you do not have permission, then I would suggest removing it from your post.

It seems that the font file has been removed (either by the OP or a forum moderator) but unfortunately we’ve been left with no indication of what the font was. :(

Yeah, if the OP can give us the name of the font (file name, with suffix, and full display name) and tell us where they got it from, if they can remember, then that might help.

However, if the issue has been fixed in the 2.6 beta then there’s a chance that, in this case, it’s not useful information any more.

@wellokaywhatever

If you get stuck and up against a deadline, perhaps I can help.
Pre-defined named instances do still work.

In the image below I added three named instances to test.
Set the Weight to 83, and the Sharpness to 50, 75, and 85.
Appears to work properly.

So if you get up against your due date, I can help with a work-around.
Just need to know your desired settings. You can PM me.
