Koenenhe Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I "Place" 2 different Word-files, both in Times New Roman size 10 pts. One is entered as size 20! Second time, placing in another afpub., it is size 15. They are placed with total different sizes in Publisher. It is very difficult to get them -in one document - on same size. Is there a description how charactersizes are copied from Word docs? Quote
Hangman Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Hi @Koenenhe, Once Placed, are you resizing the text frame in Publisher? Koenenhe Posted December 19, 2024 Author Posted December 19, 2024 Hi Hangman, by default no. I have a 2-column A4-size page. Today I "Placed" the same doc many times. In word it was Times New Roman 10 pts. In Publisher it appeared as 9, 15, or 20 pts, never 10 pts. The doc contains other sizes as well (9, 16 and 30 points), but the body is 10. Apart from this: I have an afpub file, with size 10 body data. Placing a second article (which enters as 20 pts) it is almost impossible to resize that to exact the same 10 points size. I have the feeling that gthese problems have been worsened after the last updates Quote
Hangman Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Hi @Koenenhe, Are the Word documents ones you can upload so we can see what on earth is going on... The behaviour you're seeing shouldn't be happening so it would be helpful if we could take a look at your .docx files... Koenenhe Posted December 19, 2024 Author Posted December 19, 2024 Hello Hangman, this is the article that gave me the issues above. As far as I can see there are no strange things in this doc. Kasteel artikel Dongebode 2024 Deel II.docx Quote
