PaoloT Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 AfPhoto 2.5.6, Mac Monterey, Intel. AfPhoto files in the Finder can't be renamed. This happens with all the .afphoto files. Other files in the same or other directories can. AfDesigner files are not affected. TIFF files exported from AfPhoto are not affected. The Mac's Console doesn't give me any error when trying. 1) Double-click slowly on a file to edit its name. 2) The .afphoto file don't enter edit mode. Access permissions are the same for all the files (write/read, read only, read only). I didn't notice this behavior before. I'm not sure if this started happening with the current AfPhoto update, or with some other change. I've not updated the OS for months. Avast doesn't report of viruses. EDIT: Double-clicking on an .afphoto file to open it doesn't work. Right-click + Open With… works regularly. EDIT: The above seems to happen with Photo V1 files. When resaved from V2 with a different name, or the same name with Save As…, they behave regularly. If resaved over themselves with Save, they continue to behave erroneously. Paolo Quote

So, does that indicate this is a V1 bug, not a V2 bug (where this topic is currently located)? Very likely. I had never encountered this problem before, but maybe I never tried to do the same operation. Paolo Quote
